Evidence of Serb Crimes

Captives from Srebrenica being held by Serb soldiers in the view of UN protection force soldiers. Almost all of them were murdered a few hours later. The vast majority of male captives between 15 and 60 years of age, shown in photo, have either never been seen again or have been indicated only by forensic identification of remains from mass graves.

An unidentified OSCE verifier, right, and an ethnic Albanian, left, count the bodies of as many as 40 men that were found on a hillside in the village of Racak, some 25 kilometers (16 miles) south of Pristina Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999. The bodies of dozens of men, many of them mutilated, were found lying on a hillside in southern Kosovo Saturday, a day after Serb forces launched a fierce assault on ethnic Albanian villages. Kosovo Albanians said 46 were killed.

 Albanian Anthem

Pledge to the Flag

United around the flag
With one desire and one goal
Let us pledge our word of honor
To fight for our salvation
Only he who is a born traitor
Averts from the struggle
He who is brave is not daunted
But falls - a martyr to the cause
With arms in hand we shall remain
To guard our fatherland round about
Our rights we will not bequeath
Enemies have no place here
For the Lord Himself has said
That nations vanish from the earth
But Albania shall live on
Because for her, it is for her that we fight
